Italian Correlate Sequence

Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Italian Department

Requirements:

Students develop a study track in consultation with their advisor that describes either: an overview of Italian culture; a focus on Italian language; a focus on a particular theme (this could pair with the student’s major). This track must include a minimum of 6 courses, at least 4 of which must be taken in the Italian Department with the exception of ITAL 105 -106 ; other courses may be taken from other Departments and Programs with the Italian Department’s approval.

Courses must be taken for a letter grade with the exception of one University of Bologna course taken during Study Abroad.

Study abroad is an integral component of the Italian curriculum at Vassar. Students are encouraged to spend one or two semesters at the ECCo program (Eastern College Consortium – Vassar College, Wellesley College, Wesleyan University) in Bologna.

Major and Correlate Declaration Procedure: Students should contact one of the Department faculty and meet with them to discuss their interest in the major or correlate prior to submitting a JotForm.
