Alumnae/i Association of Vassar College (AAVC)

Founded in 1871 and governed by a board of directors, the Alumnae/i Association of Vassar College (AAVC) leads Vassar alums to advance the interests and mission of the College. Once their class graduates, all matriculated students of the college are considered members of AAVC with voting privileges.

In collaboration with the Office of Advancement, the AAVC helps connect the more than 42,000 Vassar alums worldwide with each other and the College through classes, clubs, regional networks, and affiliate groups; reunions, mini-reunions, and travel programs; online and print publications; and affinity, career, and young alum events. The AAVC and Office of Advancement host Reunion Weekend each June and coordinate numerous events across the country and around the world, as well as virtually.

Vassar, the Alumnae/i Quarterly (also known as VQ), is published in the spring, summer, and fall/winter and is distributed to all alums and current parents, as well as the campus community.  In addition, a monthly enewsletter, This Is Vassar, highlights upcoming events and recent news items about alums and life on campus.  Alumnae House, a welcoming on-campus home for alums was given to the college by two alumnae in 1924. Its American Tudor-style architecture and spaciousness provide comfortable accommodations for guests and a gracious venue for weddings, parties, conferences, and other catered events.
