BIOL 374 - Microbes and the Environment Semester Offered: Fall 1 unit(s) (Same as ENST 374 ) Microbes are the tiniest organisms on Earth, yet they have a huge impact on us and on our environment. This course builds your knowledge and appreciation of the ubiquity and importance of microbial life. We explore the functional roles that microbial organisms play in ecological systems. In addition, we learn how humans are using microbial organisms to maintain the health of the planet, as well as our own bodies. Myra Hughey.
Prerequisite(s): One unit of any 200-level natural science and one of the following: BIOL 205 , BIOL 208 , BIOL 241 , BIOL 248 .
Recommended: BIOL 205 , BIOL 241 .
